INTEGRATION OF DECISION PROCEDURES INTO HIGH-ORDER INTERACTIVE PROVERS by Yegor Bryukhov Adviser: Professor Sergei Artemov An efficient proof assistant uses a wide range of decision procedures, including automatic verification of validity of arithmetical formulas with linear terms. Since the final product of a proof assistant is a formalized and verified proof, it prompts an additional task of building proofs of formulas, which validity is established by such a decision procedure. We present an implementation of several decision procedures for arithmetical formulas with linear terms in the MetaPRL proof assistant in a way that provides formal proofs of formulas found valid by those procedures. We also present an implementation of a theorem prover for the logic of justified common knowledge S4n introduced in [Artemov, 2004]. This system captures the notion of justified common knowledge, which is free of some of the deficiencies of the usual common knowledge operator, and is yet sufficient for the analysis of epistemic problems where common knowledge has been traditionally applied. In particular, S4n enjoys cut-elimination, which introduces the possibility of automatic proof search in the logic of common knowledge. Our implementation automatically builds cut-free sequent proofs

Tool Building Requirements for an API to First-Order Solvers
Effective formal verification tools require that robust implementations of automatic procedures for first-order logic and satisfiability modulo theories be integrated into expressive interactive frameworks for logical deduction, such as higher-order logic theorem provers. This paper states some pragmatic requirements for implementations of decision procedures that make them well-suited to integ...
متن کاملInteractive multiple objective programming in optimization of the fully fuzzy quadratic programming problems
In this paper, a quadratic programming (FFQP) problem is considered in which all of the cost coefficients, constraints coefficients, and right hand side of the constraints are characterized by L-R fuzzy numbers. Through this paper, the concept of α- level of fuzzy numbers for the objective function, and the order relations on the fuzzy numbers for the constraints are considered. To optimize th...

This paper presents an application of interactive fuzzy goal programming to the nonlinear multi-objective reliability optimization problem considering system reliability and cost of the system as objective functions. As the decision maker always have an intention to produce highly reliable system with minimum cost, therefore, we introduce the interactive method to design a high productivity sys...
متن کاملAn Integration of Model Checking with Automated Proof Checking
Although automated proof checking tools for general-purpose logics have been successfully employed in the veriication of digital systems, there are inherent limits to the eecient automation of expressive logics. If the expressiveness is constrained, there are useful logic fragments for which eecient decision procedures can be found. The model checking paradigm yields an important class of decis...
متن کاملMethods of Optimization in Imprecise Data Envelopment Analysis
In this paper imprecise target models has been proposed to investigate the relation between imprecise data envelopment analysis (IDEA) and mini-max reference point formulations. Through these models, the decision makers' preferences are involved in interactive trade-off analysis procedures in multiple objective linear programming with imprecise data. In addition, the gradient projection type...
